Random Acts of Kindness

7 minute drama

 ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ is a low budget but high quality drama made specifically for the Celebr8 Silver Screen festival. Celebr8 don’t Discrimin8 is nonprofit making organisation who aim to promote and celebrate the role diversity has to play in the North West.  

 

SEAL documentary for PSE Publications

The SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects for Learning) Programme is being rolled out across many schools in the UK. A short documentary explores the views of staff, students and parents at Newall Green High School in Manchester, one of the first secondary schools to adopt the programme. Two short dramas, based around SEAL issues, are for use in the classroom and aim to encourage understanding and discussion of SEAL amongst students.

Road Safety

Our first corporate projects relate to road safety for teenagers. Greater Manchester Police commissioned TIME OUT a 10 minute drama while Salford City Council wanted us to work with two groups of young people who devised their own 15 minute DVDs to be distributed amongst their peers.

A series of shorts examining quirky moments in history presented by Mark Speight.

Looking After The Penneys

A soap-style drama series for 11 - 16's promoting Financial Capability through the Penney family's financial dilemmas, made in association with the Financial Services Authority.

 

SMASH

(Shakespeare mashed up)

A collaboration between Libra Television and Ymogen, a Social Media Production Company

The Big Shakespeare Mash up is a website that aims to engage secondary school students in Shakespeare.

 On-line, interactive, mashed and flashed. Using Ymogen’s bespoke technology, a platform has been created where students can produce and share their own interpretation of the Shakespeare plays they are studying. Libra scripted and produced.

 SMASH is a pilot project that Libra scripted and produced. The project is being tested out in Salford schools.

 

SORTED 2.

Teachers TV

 Teachers TV is a new channel for which Libra is one of the preferred suppliers. We will be making programmes for them for the next two years.
